Meet the members of parliament (MPs) who have tabled a bill in the British parliament calling for the UK to recognise Biafra as an independent country.

Kinahan is a new member of parliament who was elected at the last election in May this year. Like Elliott, he is a former soldier and is married with four children.

Earlier, senior Labour MP Harriet Harman sent a letter to British foreign minister Phillip Hammond demanding to know why pro-Biafra activist Nmandi Kanu had been arrested in Nigeria as Harman represents the constituency where Kanu lives in the UK.

At this point, only Elliott and Kinahan have signed the motion calling for recognition of Biafran independence.
